Three Einstein Professorships for the TU

On 5 December 2011 the Einstein Foundation Berlin awarded its first Einstein Professorships at the TU Berlin. Thanks to the support of the Foundation, the three outstanding scientists Gitta Kutyniok (an internationally acclaimed mathematician), the biotechnologist Juri Rappsilber (a pioneer in the field of the structural analysis of protein complexes) and Martin Oestreich (who will reinforce the UniCat Cluster of Excellence) have now taken up Einstein professorships at the TU Berlin.

During the award ceremony, the President of the TU Berlin Jörg Steinbach thanked the Einstein Foundation Berlin, saying that without the financial support of the Foundation, the appointments would not have been possible.
