On November 24, 2021, the Einstein Foundation will announce the first-ever winners of the €500,000 Einstein Foundation Award for Promoting Quality in Research.
We warmly invite you to attend our prize-giving ceremony, which starts at 7 pm (CET) at Berlin's Futurium, to celebrate our award winners together with
– Melinda French Gates, Co-Chair and Trustee, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and
– Magdalena Skipper, Editor-in-Chief, Nature.
Funded by the Damp Stiftung and the State of Berlin, this annual award honors researchers, institutions, and early career researchers from around the globe who have made a significant contribution to advancing the quality and robustness of research findings. Nature Portfolio has supported our international call for entries and helped to establish the award, while the QUEST Center of the Berlin Institute of Health and the Max Planck Foundation are supporting its implementation.
In the coming weeks, you will receive a personal invitation with more information about the event. Due to COVID-19, the award ceremony will take place with a limited number of guests and will be simultaneously livestreamed. Please also note the accompanying symposium on "Challenges for research integrity: Diversity and universalism, evidence and reflexivity", organized by the Berlin University Alliance, which will be held on the same day.
