Einstein Center Regenerative Therapies

The Einstein Center Regenerative Therapies (ECRT) aims at gaining fundamental understanding of the underlying mechanisms that modulate endogenous regenerative cascades during aging, infections or other compromised situations in order to explore new therapies to overcome unmet clinical needs.

The Einstein Center complements the existing structures of Berlin-Brandenburg Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT) and Berlin-Brandenburg School for Regenerative Therapies (BSRT) forming a nucleus for new ideas. It offers open structures for the various players in the regeneration landscape in Berlin and Brandenburg, ranging from basic biology to clinical medicine. The Einstein Center's spokesperson is Georg Duda, a biomechanist and professor at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

The Einstein Foundation supported the ECRT with 3 million euros in research funding from January 2017 to December 2023.
