Rahul Pandharipande's pioneering research in algebraic geometry has brought about a paradigm shift in the consideration of moduli spaces. After studying at Harvard and Princeton, Pandharipande taught at the California Institute of Technology and Princeton, among others, before moving to ETH Zurich as Professor of Mathematics. Pandharipande has been honoured with numerous awards. As an Einstein Visiting Fellow, he continued his research at the Berlin Mathematical School.
