Annette Grüters-Kieslich is a physician at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where she researches the molecular pathogenesis and treatment of rare diseases in children and adolescents.
She has received several awards for her research, including the Research Prize of the European Society of Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) and the Berthold Medal of the German Society of Endocrinology.
She is currently Chair of the Eva Luise and Horst Köhler Foundation, Vice-President of ALLEA (European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities) and Senator and Spokesperson of the Paediatric and Gynaecological Section of LEOPOLDINA. Previously, she was Director and Chairman of the Board of Heidelberg University Hospital and Dean and Head of various clinics and centres at the Charité.
