Choreographer and performer Claire Cunningham to become Einstein Professor for „Choreography, Dance and Disability Arts“
Scottish choreographer and performer Claire Cunningham is to become the Einstein Professor of „Choreography, Dance and Disability Arts“ at the Inter-University Centre for Dance (HZT) from the winter semester 2023/24. As part of her professorship, Claire Cunningham will teach and research at the HZT for an initial five years. She is the first artist to receive an Einstein Strategic Professorship.

Advancing health and health equity across the globe: Prof. Beate Kampmann takes over Charité’s Institute of International Health as a newly appointed Einstein Professor
A new platform for global health is being created within Berlin’s university medicine landscape in the form of the Charité Center for Global Health (CCGH). At its center is the Institute of International Health of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, formerly known as the Institute of Tropical Medicine and International Health, which is headed by Einstein Professor for Global Health, Prof. Beate Kampmann since the beginning of this year.

Approx. five million euros for new Einstein Fellowships and the expansion of exceptional doctoral programs
The Einstein Foundation’s Executive Board has awarded funding to five international fellowships at Berlin universities and will also be supporting the research of two scholars already working in the German capital as Einstein Junior and Einstein Research Fellows. The Board has also approved the extension of six Einstein Visiting Fellowships and one Einstein Research Project. In addition, two PhD programs have been recognized as part of the recently launched Einstein Foundation Doctoral Program.

Einstein Center for Alternative Methods in Biomedical Research commences work
After twelve months of preparation, the new Einstein Center for Alternative Methods in Biomedical Research will officially be launched this week. The Einstein Foundation will provide financial support amounting to €5.3 million until the end of 2026, but will make part of its funding subject to the Center's positive interim assessment by the Foundation's independent research board in 2024.

The Einstein Foundation will in future be supporting neurobiologist Susanne Schreiber as an Einstein Professor at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. New funding awarded to promote research in the fields of demographic science, quantum physics, and neuroscience
The Einstein Foundation Berlin is assisting the creation of a new Einstein Center to promote interdisciplinary population research. Funding will also be made available to support an Einstein Junior Fellow and an International Postdoctoral Fellow conducting neuroscience research at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin. An International Postdoctoral Fellow will also take up research into string theory at the Humboldt-Universität.
