For Research. For Berlin.

Jean-Pierre Seifert

How can we protect sensitive data in times of big data and digitalization? Jean-Pierre Seifert, computer and communications security specialist, is researching possible hardware-based security solutions. The enormous importance of his project is illustrated by the fact that in previous research projects it could be shown that almost all commercial hardware solutions previously used - even those that should protect state high security tasks - are not adequate.

“With the recent massive data theft and the unauthorized disclosure of personal information from politicians and other public figures, it will be a daunting challenge to design effective or provably secure security solutions that are secure even in the dawning age of the quantum computer,“ says Jean-Pierre Seifert.

The promotion of Jean-Pierre Seifert as an Einstein-Professor is possible through the successful cooperation of the Einstein Foundation Berlin with the Technical University of Berlin and the Telekom Innovation Laboratories.
