With his research on the structure of macromolecules, Stefan Raunser has become one of the world's leading structural biologists. Among other things, his research provides information on causes of elevated cholesterol levels, toxins in the body and cancer. Since 2014, Raunser holds the Chair of Membrane Biochemistry at the Free University of Berlin. The only 37-year-old researcher has already worked as junior research group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology in Dortmund and as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University.
This page will not be updated after the end of the fellowship.
