Benjamin Judkewitz

Benjamin Judkewitz, Professor of Bioimaging and Neurophotonics, has been heading a research group at the Cluster of Excellence NeuroCure at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin since 2014 and is involved in the Einstein Center for Neurosciences with his research activities. Judkewitz habilitated at the California Institute of Technology in Photonics and Engineering. Through the support of the Einstein-Strategic-Professorship, the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin can now benefit in the long term from the expertise of the internationally renowned neurobiologist, who has received numerous awards. The aim of the research group of Judkewitz is to develop new optical technologies in the field of high-resolution microscopy in order to make them available for biomedical research in the future.

 

Benjamin Judkewitz is the first scientist to receive funding in the programme “Einstein Strategic Professorship“. Through this professorship, it has been possible to keep the award-winning and internationally recognised neurobiologist in Berlin.
