Bassem Hassan

The neuroscientist Bassem Hassan from the Institut du Cerveau et de la Moelle épinière – ICM (Brain & Spine Institute) intends to study the extent to which brain development is genetically determined or dependent on other influences. His Berlin-based research group will examine differences in the interconnectivity of neuronal circuits and how this influences behaviour. Molecular genetic approaches and high-resolution imaging techniques will be used in order to identify relevant genes.
