How do learning and remembering work in the brain? This question drives the research of Dietmar Schmitz. The Einstein Professor of Neuroscience at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin is, among other things, speaker of the Cluster of Excellence NeuroCure. Dietmar Schmitz came to Berlin during his medical studies. In 2005 he became professor of neuroscience at the Charité. However, only with the support of the Einstein Foundation was it possible to hold the internationally courted researcher in Berlin from 2011 onwards.
