Andrew Hurrell is an expert in political science and Montague Burton Professor of International Relations at the University of Oxford. He is a member of the British Academy and is regarded as one of the top twenty academics in the research field of International Relations. One of his main research topics is the theory of International Relations with special emphasis on international law, institutions and global governance. As an Einstein Visiting Fellow, Hurrell will join "Contestations of the Liberal Script (SCRIPTS)", Cluster of Excellence, at Freie Universität Berlin, which analyses the global challenges for liberal democracy as a model of organisation.
