Finding out what is happening inside the body without the risks of surgery or radiology is still a medical utopia. But Professor Jürgen Lademann, head of the Department of Skin Physiology at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, could make it a reality. Together with Günther Tränkle, Professor of Microwave and Optoelectronics at the Technical University of Berlin, he wants to find out what substances in sweat and sebum reveal about the state of health of internal organs in the interdisciplinary research project "HautScan".
