The function of Gata2 in mesenchymal stem cell differentiation

The therapeutic potential of stem cells has been limited. One reason for this is a lack of understanding of the transcriptional processes that control the differentiation of these cells. These include, in particular, the zinc finger transcription factor Gata2. The results of this research project could form the basis for new cell-based therapies for skeletal diseases.
