The project focuses on the metabolic processes of blue-green algae. Mathematical models will be used to analyse and predict these metabolic processes, with far-reaching applications in biotechnology. Blue-green algae are of interest, for example, for the production of biofuels. Research in this area has already led to several spin-offs in Berlin.
