The collaborative project between Freie Universität, the Max Born Institute and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem focuses on combined theoretical and experimental studies to understand and control chemical reactivity based on the excitation of non-equilibrium electron dynamics. Simulations and experiments with small to medium-sized molecules will be used to confirm the theoretical methodology and to investigate, model, understand and control new types of material reactions.
