I ask myself whether this would be a good day to tidy up my desk or jump straight into mathematics. The answer is (nearly) always the same ...
Is there a specific location in Berlin, which you associate with your research work?
The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics: an exceptional centre for mathematics, which provides me with a lot of inspiration.

Who or what do you get inspiration from in your work?
The many incredibly talented young people from all over the world that I work with on a daily basis. The Berlin Mathematical School (BMS) has created an amazing environment here.
