The website www.einsteinfoundation.de of the Einstein Foundation Berlin is only partially accessible in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102. The evaluation was conducted in August 2024 by the Monitoring Body for Digital Accessibility Berlin, and the result was communicated to the Einstein Foundation in November 2024. The Foundation is committed to making its website accessible in compliance with the provisions of the Berlin State Law on Accessible Information Technology (BlnBITV).
Non-accessible content:
- Homepage: The page has an incorrect heading hierarchy and a non-stoppable slider. We are currently developing a plan to fix these issues. Implementation is planned for 2025.
- Contrast and controls: Links are often not highlighted with a second distinguishing feature. Additionally, the website has contrast issues. Goal: Resolution by 2025.
- PDF documents: Some PDF documents provided on the website are not fully accessible. We have commissioned their conversion into accessible formats (expected implementation in the first half of 2025).
- Images without alternative text: Numerous images on the website lack meaningful alternative texts. These will be added shortly.
- Podcasts without transcription: Some of our podcasts already have complete transcripts. The remaining ones will be transcribed over the course of 2025.
