Julia Weber

Julia Weber works at the Peter Szondi-Institute for Comparative Literature at the Free University Berlin. Her research includes literary techniques of subject constitution, theories of affect and emotion, the cultural history of virtuality, and theories of space in cultural studies. Between 2012 and 2020, she led the Emmy Noether Junior Research Group “Bauformen der Imagination,” investigating a broad spectrum of interrelations between literature and architecture in Modern Literature. With her Einstein Fellowship on “The Poetics of Intermedial Spaces: Affect Modelling in Ann Quin, Claude Simon and Alexander Kluge”, Julia Weber intends to develop a new affect-related theoretical perspective on aesthetic experience.
