The Advisory Board of the Einstein Foundation Berlin is committed to strengthening science as a cornerstone of an innovative and future-oriented society.
As an advisory body to the Foundation’s Executive Board, the Advisory Board supports the Einstein Foundation in raising the visibility of its work across societal sectors beyond academia, mobilizing financial support, and building networks. As a vital link between the Einstein Foundation and society, we are dedicated to the following key goals:
- Commitment to a Strong Science City
We advocate for ensuring that Berlin can continue to fully leverage the potential of its excellent scientific landscape — even in times of financial challenge — by integrating the Einstein Foundation into productive networks that generate added value for its work.
- International Excellence
The Advisory Board strengthens the Einstein Foundation’s global networks to attract the world’s brightest minds to Berlin, thereby enhancing the city’s reputation as an internationally leading research hub.
- A Hub for Networks
We connect outstanding science with leading figures from business, culture, politics, and society. As door-openers, we support strategic partnerships that bring science, society, and the economy closer together.
- Fundraising as an Additional Funding Source
Together, we support the Einstein Foundation’s efforts to mobilize additional private funds to secure the Foundation’s long-term financial base. The State of Berlin rewards private donations to the Einstein Foundation with a 50% top-up — meaning every euro donated becomes €1.50 under this matching funds model.
