The Einstein Foundation Berlin warmly congratulates the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) on the extension of its funding for a further seven years under the Excellence Strategy of the Federal Government and the Länder.
"The BUA is a powerful engine for collaborative cutting-edge research in our city. This decision not only acknowledges the outstanding work the alliance has accomplished to date, but also sends an important signal for the further development of Berlin as a centre of scientific excellence of international standing," said the Chair of the Board of the Einstein Foundation, Professor Martin Rennert.
"The close partnership with the BUA, which is also reflected in the 'Einstein BUA/Oxford Research Unit', is an excellent example of genuine synergy at the Berlin research hub. We look forward to continuing this successful and trusting collaboration and, together with the BUA, to enabling innovative research projects in the future," emphasised Managing Director Dr Thorsten Wilhelmy.
